The world of mattresses is strewn with good and bad concepts of effective manufacturing with the goal being a good night’s sleep. What do you do when you have invested in time and preparation for a nice vacation, only to find yourself at bedtime, counting ceiling tiles instead of sheep?
Good sleep hygiene (habits) consists of doing things to make it as easy as possible for your body to enter into a deep a state of sleep. Sleeping hygiene includes everything from what you do before you go to bed to making your sleep environment as ‘sleep friendly’ as you can. If you want to help sleep reach the REM stage, invest in a good bed. But when you are on vacation, “sleeping trouble” becomes an issue not easily solved. If you have problems sleeping when you are on vacation, sometimes it is a good idea to bring a portable mattress topper with you. This will usually prevent a sleepless night.
